Description
A boy stands with gentle fingers grasping his camera. This model of Kodak Eastman camera is considered a collector’s item today, but at the time, it was the peak of photographic technology. Shot on a Nikon DSLR, I hoped to use modern technology to emulate the feeling that a young boy would have when he first captures the world around him in muted sepia tones. As both photographer and subject, I became intimately familiar with both the mechanisms of the camera and the minute details that add humanity to a portrait’s subject.
