Samantha Roise – City Lights

I created this piece using acrylic paints on black card stock. I was envisioning a city lit up with lights, during a sunset sky. I tried to make the city pop while having it blend well with the sunset, creating a light and airy atmosphere. I used dark black to make it pop and light oranges, yellows, and blues to bring it back to the light and airy feel. It reminded me of San Francisco during the nighttime. The reflection of the city was seen in the water below.
