Aurora Kroenke – Floating Kitchen

I created, “Floating Kitchen,” as a part of my portfolio, which is a collection of observational pieces depicting seemingly mundane scenarios, in order to highlight the underlying beauty of these moments, which may be taken for granted. In this piece, I painted various, ordinary objects that I found around my kitchen, and created a magical, colorful painting to display the artfulness of even the most average, plain items. I used paint and colored pencil to create a combination of magical realism and still-life themes and colors.
