Connor Dong – Media Dependent

I created this drawing to symbolize the addictive nature of social media. Because nowadays, everybody is too caught up in consuming content they almost forget to focus on the present. My piece depicts a man forcing himself to keep his eyes open, kind of like someone endlessly scrolling on their phone. Even I have had moments like this. Knowing I shouldn’t be on social media at the moment but I still continue. I hope that my piece serves as a reminder to let you know that this affects everyone, not just you.
