Join us for the Lamorinda Arts Council’s inaugural free “Arts Embraces Words” event in the Arts & Crafts Room at the Lafayette Community Center.
Attending patrons are seated in the middle of the room surrounded by artwork. In this way the art literally “embraces the words” spoken by emerging writers who read excerpts from their work.
Master of Ceremonies and Lafayette resident Lynn Carey, former host of the Times Book Club, will introduce each writer at approximately 10 minute intervals. Our first writer is Michelle Hoffmann, author of Life Worth Living – A Practical & Compassionate Guide to Navigating Widowhood & Sole Parenting. A reception follows from 3 – 4:00 p.m. where light refreshments will be served so that writers, artists and all who attend can enjoy each other’s company.
