Our 2021 season runs Sunday afternoons from 2 - 3:30pm on the following dates: January 31, March 28, May 30, July 25, September 26 and October 31.

On May 30 the theme will be Courage and HeroismTo register as an attendee click HERE .


While costumes are optional for our October 31 Halloween Theme, we invite you to appear as your favorite literary or artistic character. Prizes will be awarded. Featured Writers:

Barbara Nelson of Lafayette will read “Sis and Marty—A Love Story,” a creative non-fiction tale based on the story of how her parents met. She dedicates this piece to them.

Bill Carmel of San Ramon will read from his artSpace blog article titled “The Ballad of Andy and Rocky” and show his Artify Orinda mural that illustrates the moment of redemption in the story.

Michael Barrington of Concord will read from his novel, “Let the Peacock Sing,” set against the backdrop of the French Resistance during World War II.

Lucy Beck of Lafayette is drawn to photograph the fleeting beauty of botanicals and is especially captivated by the beauty of flowers. You can view her work at the Moraga Art Gallery.

Mary Lou Correia of Martinez is an inveterate plein air painter who says, “I am most alive and most peaceful when painting.” Mary Lou is represented by galleries throughout the Bay Area and teaches plein air workshops at Walnut Creek Continuing Education.

Judy Bebelaar of Berkeley will read from the published book And Then They Were Gone about the students she and Ron Cabral of Concord came to know in Peoples Temple. Video trailer of And Then They Were Gone.

Jim Gunshinan of Walnut Creek, is a poet and freelance writer who will read from his piece of creative nonfiction, The Broken Door.

Joni Keim of Lafayette will read a harrowing true story about her grandfather on a desolate stretch of road on the out outskirts of Los Angeles in 1937.

Featured Artists: 

Tim Hancock of Lafayette, is a local illustrator, fine artist and arts advocate who has been teaching art in the Bay Area for over 20 years. Tim is showing illustrations from his work-in-progress graphic novel entitled Secret Ocean.

Peeta Tinay of Orinda has been making large scale intricate baskets since 2008. She teaches basketry at all levels, both nationally and internationally. Peeta is currently showing her work at the Christian Ehrhorn Fine Art Gallery in Orinda.
