Apply as an Artist for Art Embraces Poetry

Thank you for your interest in Art Embraces Poetry (AEP). To be considered for selection as an Artist in our series, please read the following important information first and then fill out the submission form below.

Information for Artist Participants

  • One artist presenter will be selected to exhibit their work. Artists are asked to show up 1 hour ahead of the event start time so Curator Bill Carmel can place their artwork on stage and presenters can familiarize themselves with the microphone.
  • In the submission form below, please provide a succinct summary of your artistic activities. We will use this information for two purposes: 1) To promote you in advance of the Program; 2) For the AEP event program; and 3) for Emcee Linda Hartmann to introduce you during the event.
  • Artwork can include any mixture of visual art such as collage, acrylic paintings, watercolors, oil paintings, fabric art, drawings, lino prints, digital art, mixed media, or photographs. If you have questions, contact us at literary@lamorindaarts.org.
  • Selected presenters will be notified approximately one week before the event and are asked to confirm their participation via email ASAP.
  • You will receive a printed program via email before the event showing the exact lineup of participants.
  • Three events are scheduled throughout the calendar year. Submissions are considered on a rolling basis. This means your application may be accepted for a future event.
  • 2025 AEP events will take place on Saturdays from 1:30 - 3:30 pm.
    • We ask each artist to deliver 2-3 visual artworks to the event.
    • For each artwork you plan to present, please provide a printed label with your Name, Title of the Artwork, Size, Media, and Price - if not for sale we will list it as "NFS."
    • You will have reserved seating and be introduced to the Emcee in advance.
    • After being introduced by Emcee Linda Hartmann, you may speak about your artwork for up to 10 minutes. A short Q&A with the audience follows.
    • Photographs and videos of the event may be posted on our website and social media channels.
