Description

I’m Eitan Schotland, I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I’m a junior at Bentley and have been doing ceramics for 2 years now. For my final project, I decided to sculpt the front wing of the kart I race. Racing has been a passion since I was little and the goal for this project was to connect back to my racing roots. Karting is the purest form of motorsport, and most drivers, including me, use it as a starting point in their careers. To make this piece, I took two blocks of clay and started to carve it out using various scalpels and carving tools. Once I had the shape and sizes I liked, I was able to put the two together to make the front wing. The kart I race is super special to me, which is why I chose to make this.
