Event Details

Saturday, September 24 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Ensemble ARI takes the stage surrounded by streaming video and original artwork from local artists Christian Ehrhorn, Judith Feins, Katie Korotzer, Ruth Stanton and Pam Stefl Toki. Thus art embraces the music. Ensemble ARI is led by Jean Ahn, Composer and Director. Musicians include Jiwon Evelyn Kwark, violin; Heeguen Song, violin; Sarah Hong, cello and Susie Kim, piano. Reception immediately following performance.

”ARI” is a Korean word meaning big river, wisdom & beauty. Led by Composer Jean Ahn, “Ensemble ARI” is a group of Korean American musicians in the Bay Area who want to share this quality with the community through music. Join us for this unique concert featuring traditional and original classical music; light refreshments will be served following the performance. Guests are invited to meet the artists and view their artwork on the stage. This program is made possible by generous grants from the Lafayette Community Foundation and the Overseas Koreans Foundation. Questions? The mission of the Lamorinda Arts Council is to ignite and sustain artistic expression and appreciation for all ages throughout Lamorinda. If you are interested in visual, performing or literary arts, please join us in keeping the arts alive. We are an engaged group of volunteers and donors who develop and produce events, partner with professional organizations and artists, give financial support and awards, and advocate for a vibrant, local culture of visual, performing, and literary arts.

In addition to curating two galleries in Orinda with new artwork every month (Art Gallery at the Orinda Gallery & Art Gallery at Wilder), here is a sample of other programs we offer: Lamorinda Idol, Lafayette Art & Wine Festival “Kids Art Table,” High School Visual Arts Competition, Art Embraces Words, Art Embraces Music, Artify Orinda, Art of Mixology, Mocktails & Cocktails and Lamorinda Super Shorts.
