Distortion and dystopia are the two concepts I explore in this piece. Dystorpian explores my insecurities. Like many, I don’t enjoy my appearance, and wearing masks during the pandemic further increased my dysmorphic thoughts. Even though I am the subject of the photo, the twisted portions aim to symbolize what I see in myself – distortion – translated to the eyes of the viewer.
