Description

This image was taken while I was out shooting for a recent series of work. The work is a series of diptychs that are portraits of strangers I found on the street with one image being a black and white photo of the person looking serious and the other image because a color image of the person acting silly or joyful. The series is supposed to make the viewer reflect on how they perceive others because a lot of the time if you see someone for a split second you might negatively judge them, however, when you get to know the person you can see their joyful and true side that you wouldn’t have known of if you didn’t get to know them. This image is one of the black & white photos of an old man from my series. It was shot on my digital Sony camera with a 24-70mm lens. I didn’t catch the man’s name while out shooting for the series so for now, I’ll remember him as the man on 12th.
