Description
This piece features two thrown ceramic pots – one medium, one larger – crafted in an open, curved form. The pots were initially fired and glazed with a matte white finish, providing a neutral canvas for me to add my personal touch. A final firing process was used to add custom sketches to the pots’ surfaces. These illustrations are inspired by my childhood growing up in the Bay Area, including local memorable landmarks to me, including street signs, and scenes from daily life that capture the region’s lasting memories with me.
