The eyes don’t lie. My intention with each portrait I paint is to capture the unique essence and truth of each person. This fellow traveler’s expression in Broken Dreams is raw, honest and unapologetic.
I often ask a person I’m painting to tell me their favorite song lyrics so that I may incorporate them into the finished painting. I’m always surprised and intrigued by their candid responses.
