Description
This piece is based on a photo taken of me as a child. I wanted to capture the feeling of flying through the air. The subject and swing set are done in colored pencil, and the sky and trees are created from fabric scraps. Each of the fabric scraps is from previous projects of mine, which makes it the perfect nostalgic background. The pattern in the sky represents the feeling of imagination. The sky is the limit, but here, I represented how, for a child, imagination truly feels limitless.
