Amanda Roach – Abstract Mountains

This charcoal drawing illustrates the shapes I see when looking at mountains and surrounding areas. I intentionally chose a black and white medium to emphasize the stark contrasts and ruggedness of the terrain. When I look at mountains, I see an ominous and beautiful tension created by nature.
