Saint Mary’s College virtual music student recital series will be pre-recorded, on-demand films released on March 10, March 17 and April 21, 2021. They will feature vocal, piano, guitar, flute, cello, and violin works by well-known composers like Mozart, Beethoven, and Debussy. They will also include Jazz selections by artists like Luiz Bonfá, Jerome Kern, and Ira Gershwin.

The 18th Annual High School Visual Arts Competition is going virtual this year! The Artists & Awards Recognition Show will be held online on March 11, 2021.
The Lamorinda Arts Council High School Visual Arts Competition accepts entries for:
- 2D: painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, collage
- 3D: ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, construction
- Photography: traditional film and digital photography
- Lamorinda Arts Alliance Digital Art Category: two-dimensional artwork that is produced or manipulated on a computer platform and then printed on paper, canvas or other material. The artwork may be an original digital painting, a digital graphic or illustration, or a photo image that has been manipulated beyond enhancement or applying effect to a photograph.
Professionals with experience in (practicing, teaching, or representing) the categories judge the competition. The criteria used for judging is:
- Creativity and originality
- Content
- Degree of expertise in the chosen medium
Cash prizes for 1st – 3rd place per category, plus honorable mention, totaling up to $2,900 will be awarded.
1st Place – $300
2nd Place – $200
3rd Place – $100
Three (3) Honorable Mentions – $25 each
Best in Show – $300

Join the Lamorinda Arts Council and Lamorinda Idol Chair, Steve Harwood, for a live announcement of the winners of our first ever Lamorinda Idol Winter Edition youth singing competition. The announcement will take place on Zoom, no registration required.
The Zoom link will be posted closer to the event date.
A winner will be announced in each category:
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade Solo
3rd – 5th Grade Solo
6th – 8th Grade Solo
9th – 12th Grade Solo
Kindergarten – 5th Grade Group
6th – 8th Grade Group
9th – 12th Grade Group
An Audience Award will be given to the participant with the highest number of public votes, adjusted for category size and number of total category votes, who is not already a category winner.
