Description
This is a watercolor painting of The Bund in Shanghai. I used and mixed different kinds of watercolors to create this painting. I painted The Bund because I was born in Shanghai, and it is a well-known sight in Shanghai. I think by painting land it can show the significance of the place to you or others. Lujiazui, the land where The Bund is located, has been inhabited for thousands of years. The bend of the Huangpu river was called “mouth” (zui) after its shape, and it was named after the family (jia) of Lu Shen, a 15th-century scholar official of the Ming Dynasty.
