Description
I created a dining set of a cup, bowl, and plate using B-Mix on the pottery wheel. I also made a tray for my set from a slab and used coils for the walls. When glazing my set and tray, I wanted the entire piece to be monochromatic. So, I glazed the dining set with a mint high-fire glaze. I covered the rim with an oolong high-fire glaze to add texture and a variation of green to the pieces. Then, I carved organic shapes into the tray to match the shapes of the oolong glaze on the dining set. I glazed the tray with a dark celadon underglaze to match the colors while also creating a difference in texture.
