Description
This piece was inspired by an Art Deco artist named Alphonse Mucha. I chose to use the image of a tiger because my mother was born in the year of the Tiger. The animal also represents my culture and the strength of my ancestors. I drew myself wearing a traditional HanFu, a Chinese traditional clothing. The industrial design within the circle contrasts with the nature in the panels, juxtaposing my desire to work hard with my creativity. I chose to create a Tarot Card of “The Fool,” and the card represents “new beginnings”. I chose this tarot card because as I get older, I am trying to immerse myself in new and different experiences that will give me a unique outlook in life.
