Presented in partnership with Orinda Network for Education (ONE), Lamorinda Arts Council is happy to welcome elementary and middle school artists to the Library Gallery and celebrate all the talented Arts Teachers who inspire them.
The 17th Annual Arts Ambassadors Exhibit showcasing student artwork made in the classrooms of OUSD is so colorful and varied. Personal hero portraits, life stories in drawings, superhero self projects, animals galore, and so much more! Curated by Lamorinda public school visual arts teacher Janet Robinson of Orinda in partnership with LAC, the 2024 exhibit highlights a collection of student artwork from K-8 grade students attending public Orinda elementary and middle schools.

About Arts Ambassadors
Since 2007, the Arts Ambassadors Exhibit & Reception has been held every Spring at the Art Gallery at the Orinda Library except in 2021 due to COVID-19 when we featured a virtual exhibit about Lamorinda art teachers who have nurtured student artists through the Arts Ambassadors program.
The exhibit is a wonderful way to provide the public with an overview of the visual arts programs in public schools in Lamorinda and to promote the value of including arts education as part of the general curriculum. It's also an exciting and special opportunity for the students and their families to share their artistry in a professional gallery.
Over the years, Arts Ambassadors has been encouraged, expanded, and supported by organizations such as Orinda Network for Education (ONE), Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE), Moraga Education Foundation (MEF), local parents, school districts, art educators and students, as well as LAC. LAC supports this event by donating and facilitating the use of the Art Gallery at the Orinda Library, which we curate every month, hosting receptions, and providing ribbons to be awarded to each student artist.
