Description
The painting is of my friend, Lillian, when I first met her. I wanted to portray the joy and light she has brought into my life. The background of the piece is dark with harsh and fast moments to illustrate the duality between the dull and chaotic of life without connection. The colors I used to paint her are bright and saturated as a way of contrasting the background, highlighting to the viewer how friendship can light the way and bring comfort in confusing times.
