This piece expresses how we can be content with and take care of our natural selves. Acne and blemishes are normal, yet we are constantly sold the image of perfectly smooth skin as the pinnacle of beauty. Because art influences our perception of beauty, I wanted to create a piece centered around imperfect skin to appreciate that it can be beautiful too.
