Fake It Till You Make It: A Quest for Authenticity

Calling for transparency, this exhibition explores how authenticity is defined and determined in institutions, museums, and among art experts and artists. From forgeries to Tourist art, Pop Art to NFTs, these selected works from the college collection question value and originality in art history through ways of seeing.

Interdisciplinary Voice

Interdisciplinary Voice comprises faculty, scholars, and staff across campus responding to objects in the Saint Mary’s College Museum of Art permanent collection. Offering a space for dialogue, these voices interpret the selected works to facilitate conversation, provoke ideas, and consider academic and interdisciplinary perspectives and approaches to art.
