Jeremy Benson is the current Poet Laureate of Napa County. He has also written novels, short stories, articles, personal essays, stand-up comedy routines, short films, and many letters. He has emceed open mics, curated readings, hosted craft-ins, and led workshops. Jeremy is a founding participant of the Broken Nose Collective, an annual exchange of hand-made chapbooks.
Lisa Rosenberg is the author of A Different Physics, winner the 2017 Red Mountain Poetry Prize. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, she holds degrees in physics and creative writing, and worked for many years in engineering. She serves as 2017-2018 Poet Laureate of San Mateo County, California.
Dani Gabriel is the author of a forthcoming children’s book (Penny Candy Books), The Woman You Write Poems About (Civil Defense Press) and coauthor of Molotov Mouths (Manic D Press). She holds a BA from UC Berkeley in Peace and Conflict Studies and an MFA from Mills College in Creative Writing. She is a postulant for the Diaconate in the Episcopal Diocese of California. She works as a writing teacher throughout the Bay Area.
Live Poets Society is open to youth readers. Every month, we hope to feature a younger writer (high school or undergraduate age) to give a brief reading in addition to our featured writers.
