The Lamorinda Arts Council is proud to bring the virtual 19th Annual High School Visual Arts Competition (HSVAC) to the Art Gallery at the Orinda Library.

The competition showcases student art in four categories: 2D, 3D, photography and the Lamorinda Arts Alliance sponsored digital art category. Professional judges with experience in practicing or teaching the above categories judge the competition

HSVAC Chair Aniston Breslin invites the public to celebrate artwork expressing the imagination, skills and talent of Lamorinda high school students along with their families, friends and art educators at this exciting annual competition. 

Tune in on March 11 at 7 pm for the virtual Live Artists & Awards Show of winning artwork from high school students in Orinda, Lafayette and Moraga. Merit citations and ash prizes will be awarded. The Lamorinda Arts Council (Council) reconfigured all scheduled art exhibits to be virtual until COVID-19 restrictions change. The Council has redesigned its website so art lovers can easily view photographs and videos of exhibiting artists’ creative work during their scheduled exhibit month.
