The Lamorinda Arts Council invites  you to attend Art Embraces Words (AEW).  Emerging writers read from their work surrounded by artwork from local artists. In this way art literally “embraces” the spoken word.

Writers read their work and artists speak about their work for 10 minutes followed by a short Q&A from the audience. The program runs from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. followed by a reception on the outdoor patio. A media table is provided where authors are encouraged to sell books and artists provide information about their work. The next program is October 29 where guests are invited to come as their favorite literary or artistic character; prizes for best costumes to be awarded.

The final AEW 2022 program will be a Webinar hosted by AEW alumni Denise Nomura and Natalie Samuels Wheeler in November; date TBD.
