The Educational Foundation of Orinda is proud to host a Celebration of the Arts reception and awards ceremony showcasing artworks from Orinda K-12 schools on March 4 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. All students who have contributed artwork will receive EFO Arts Ambassadors ribbons.

Since 2007, the Arts Ambassadors Exhibit and reception has been held every spring at the Art Gallery at the Orinda Library. Curated by Orinda Public School Visual Art Teachers and presented in partnership with Educational Foundation of Orinda (EFO), the exhibit highlights a collection of student artwork including at least one piece from every Orinda Union School District (OUSD) art studio (grades 1-8), and some from Miramonte High School students as well. The reception also celebrates student performing artists by featuring performances by the OUSD and Miramonte High School Performing Arts Programs.

The exhibit is a wonderful way to provide the public an overview of the OUSD and Miramonte Visual Arts Program and to promote the value of including arts education as a part of the general curriculum. It’s also an exciting and special opportunity for the students along with their families to share their artistry in a professional gallery.
